Title: Wooridle Church
Pastor Kim Han-yo
Acts 16:14 - 34
Its almost instinctive for people to divide classes between each other.
I think thats why they want to be treated special.
But the gospel is delivered to everyone without discrimination.
Churches are built with this gospel are growing with it without discrimination.
Today, I want to talk about the Philip Church, the first church built in Europe, and its founding members
The first founding member is a woman named Ludia.
Ludia was a purple cloth maker as a high-class woman.
She made clothes for high-ranking people and interacting with them.
In Act 16:12, while Ludia was listening to Pauls message from God,
the Lord opened the door of her heart and she followed the word.
Ive seen a gray-haired old lady with oxygen masks watching a masterpiece in a famous museum in Philadelphia.
Many people think the Bible is full of ethical and moral codes.
But I think we are touched by the Bible and we appreciate the beauty of the Words, like the lady appreciating the masterpiece wearing oxygen masks on.
The second founding member is a haunted maidservant.
She is a fortune-telling slave with straggle-hair and bad smell.
The evil ghost came out of her body when Jesus ordered to do so.
This is experiencing a spiritual conflict with God.
She met Jesus in this spiritual conflict and becomes the first founding member of the Church of Philip.
When we meet Jesus, the class vanish.
The Gospel tear down a wall of class and discrimination.
The third founding member is a Roman guard.
Paul and Scylla were imprisoned for expelling a fortune-telling ghost.
They sang hymn there.
This shocked the Roman guard who are used to prisoners terrified behaviors.
When he heard that the door opened, he was about to kill himself.
Amanzingly enough, Paul and Scylla didnt leave the jail.
They even persuaded him not to kill himself.
We should not leave the jail when the door is opened.
That is the moment we should stay in the jail.
The first church in Europe was built with A woman, a slave and a foreigner.
I belive Wooridle church and QT movement flow from a river to the sea, spreading all over the world.
