[The disturbance of the Holy Spirit]
Acts 19:21~31
After the management of the Holy Spirit, we see the disturbance of the Holy Spirit following.Thanks to the pray of all in our church, I completed the Western American rally successfully.I am also thankful to all the churches which gave me to preach.Today, we think about the disturbance of the Holy Spirit.
First, it starts with worldly disturbances.In 'After This,' this is the training of Paul.the people of Ephesus burned the magic books.The burned place must be filled with a mission.Paul decides to go to Jerusalem.He declared a detail mission that I should go there and see Rome later.The management means the mission given to me in the Holy Spirit by using the Greek word 'pneuma' or Holy Spirit.Romans used the bodies of Christians as lanterns to light up the streets.They persecuted and kill Jesus, who we believe in.However, Paul said he would preach the gospel to Rome, saying that the management of the Holy Spirit should forgive, embrace, and see.If I am now facing many opponents and experiencing disturbances,it means that I am given a mission and my life is born and grow,and a big door is opening.The biggest disturbance in history already happened when Herod, the king of the world, killed all babies to kill Jesus when Jesus was born.The endless disturbance that occurs to me is not one to kill me,but because there is life in me.
Second, it reveals the source of the disturbance in the world.Every May, the Artemis Goddess Festival is held in Ephesus,symbolizing rich, fertility, and blessings.The temple is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.People from all over the world came to buy Artemis statues.They brought statues with them wherever they go during war or travel.The statues made a lot of money to silver dealers.One day, Demetrius, a silversmith and chairman of the merchant association, comes out as the spokesperson and leader.He confirmed that the reason for the decrease in income is related to the teaching of Paul at Hall of Tyrannus that Artemis statue is an idol.The more diligent and sincere somebody is, the more difficult it is to see the reality of a fallen sinner.In fact, money is the motivation for silversmith, but they were regarded as people who have given up their individual greed for worship.But the gospel of Jesus Christ broke through them and revealed the hidden money idol.To reveal the greed and sins hidden, there comes an event such as a great earthquake.This should happen for the disturbance and salvation of the Holy Spirit.However, Demetrius decorated the cause.He claimed that Artemis is ignored, and the dignity diminished.This disguise is a specialty of world management.There is a leader in disguise strategies in this disturbance.Everyone is led by the disguise and shouted for Artemis.This is referred to be 'noisy' in the Bible.This confusion was said in Genesis 11:9 that God had congested the language of the whole land by the judgment of the Tower of Babel case.The result of listening to the world is a disturbance that cannot communicate with each other.If I listen to small group rather than the words of experts in the world, God is responsible for it.
Third, I should die.During the disturbance, Caius and Aristarchus, Pauls students, were caught by the crowd.Paul didnt rush to the crowd because he knew the truth of disturbance.Likewise, we should die for the cross and stop what were thinking.We should know that it is ourselves which block the management of the Holy Spirit.Here is a community testimony.A leader of small group stood at a court for divorce suit.He did his best to avoid divorce, but the judges decision was divorce.He said this is the event of salvation.We should die to save our home, the most precious value.I hope God bless you all.
