The Authority of the True King
(Rev 8:13 ~ 9:11)
Theres a website that predicts the date of our last day. Yet, the power of death is still dreadful because no one knows where we are going after we die. If we could tell whats in store for us, whether hell or judgment, none of us would deny God so badly. God loves us so much that he gives us the shadow of Hell on earth in order to save us from it eternally. In order to understand the authority of God, our true king, we need to know how powerful the authority is that the king of Hell has.
I. There are four stages concerning the authority of the king of Hell.
amp#9312 There is a proclamation of 'Woe!Woe!Woe' to the earth. This proclamation is about impending woes to the earth. Its a further warning about Satans worst disasters after the warnings of seven seals and four trumpets. It warns that people will be the prey of an eagle. However, its also the prelude of the other three angels trumpet blasts, which reflects Gods love urging people to return to Him. amp#9313 The woe begins with fallen stars. The fifth broken seal revealed the martyrs in the heavenly kingdom while, the fifth trumpet blast revealed the abyss. Thus God shows us Heaven and Hell through the broken seals and trumpet blasts. To experience hell on earth in advance is a blessing. Notice that the fallen star has the key to the abyss. The star that we look upon leads us to death. It seems to have heavenly authority but in reality, its the messenger of the abyss and Hell and false authority. Stars are under Gods control. Our star syndrome leads us to unlimited distress and suffering. amp#9314 The woe brings us confused values. When God opened the Abyss, smoke rose as from a gigantic furnace. Just as the smoke darkens the sun and sky, it darkens our values with sadness, emptiness, and false thoughts. Life is nothing but a fleeting mist. Nevertheless, we are struggling to raise ourselves through our ephemeral school background, reputation, money, and children. Ive also struggled to make an impressive resume on my own, which left me always anxious. But after starting my QT, I, who had been possessed by anxiety, helped people revive even though I did nothing for my resume. Thats the moment when I understood the meaning of the phrase 'Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD (Ex14:13).' Instead of going around here and there, I just shared my QT and application with others, which brought me my daily fruit. That was enough for me. Do you feel that your life is like a fog? Thats the best time for you to throw away your impressive resume project. Therefore, whatever small business we have, we need to thank God for the work, taking it as His best choice for us. amp#9315 Theres the attack of locusts. Down in the smoke of grief and emptiness, we are now attacked by the locusts. The locusts come to us wearing the crown of success. They appear not as a dreadful Satan, but as brilliant angels, in their sexy black hair, showing their tenacious lion-teeth, and breastplates of iron, attacking us like well-trained stallions in a battle filed. How then can we stand against them? The name of the locust is Abaddon or in Greek, Apollyon, the destroyer, which means the messenger of the Abyss. Those who possess an allegedly golden crown actually boast of empty things. Unlike slanderers, who at least have something to repent of, boasters have nothing to repent of. Yet God let his chosen people experience hell on earth. Being ready to suck up peoples ignorance makes our life much easier. Hide what you want to show up and reveal what you want to hide. What are we that God let his son die for us? Thus God valued us as being worthy of Christs death. Like him, we also need to die for others salvation as a kernel of wheat to be dead and buried.
II. There is the authority of the true king. The authority of the true king comes from the constant love of God. The woes are to be on those who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. Those who have the seal are the people who see their detestable sins. In the same flame of a crucible, gold is refined as pure gold while straw becomes mere ash, which prickles others eyes as well as theirs. The latter is the track of the fallen stars. No matter how loud eagles shout woes, not one can harm us as long as we share the gospel with others, bearing our spiritual heirs. God shows that he does not want us to go to Hell by going through our earthly hell in advance. When we enlarge our territory by sharing the gospel under all circumstances, we can bring more people to God through our trials, our unfallen stars, the channel of our new mission. Thats why God gives us trials. May God bless us to wage our wars not against flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers in the heavenly realms and and enjoy our victory!
The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss (Rev 9:1).
