[Why is it time to receive this?] 2 King 5:20~27
General Naaman, who lived in Aram, a foreign country, was saved and became a life 'but to Jehovah.' On the other hand, it was not the time to receive the gift from Elisas secretary, Ghehashi but he eventually had a leprosy while trying to have it. Today, we will take a reflection on the case of Ghehashi and meditate on what we should do not follow in order not to be coveted and blamed by him.
First, you have to distinguish between vows and covetousness.
Elisha did not accept Naamans offering in the name of the Lord. But the Elisas secretary, Ghehashi vows to receive the gifts without fail in the name of the Lord. Here, 'I will receive it' means that I, the first person, will take it among active and meticulous plans. Based on what you say, greed will have to stop, but the decision and application of the binding oath must be obeyed. He did not use the words of salvation as a standard, but his own mind, thoughts, emotions, and self-esteem. This is called 'I am the gospel.' He also condemns Elisha, saying that he does not think of the cadets who refuse material because of his righteousness and merit and are starving by famine. He didnt love his teacher, he loved money. In order to discern our desires and vows, we must think of them as binding words and choose them. Even if you hear a wonderful word next to Elisha, you will not receive grace. This is because even if you understand and like the constraints, application is another matter. You can distinguish between greed and oath only when you train yourself to meditate and apply your words by doing QT every day.
Second, you should know that greed produces lies.
How loud Ghehashi was running, Naaman, who was riding a cart, sees it and gets off the cart himself and asks, 'Are you in peace?' He calmly responded to this, saying, 'Its a peace.' Elisha changed his mind and asked for a gift, and the young also lied in detail that two people came and asked for help. It also required a talent and two pieces of clothing, much less than the number of gifts that Naaman was trying to give. Na-man was rather embarrassed when he said he would give twice as much silver, but he refused and acted with greed. And Ghehashi got the item, hid it in the house, and sent them away. At this point, Elisa asked, 'Where are you coming from?' and gave Ghehashi one last chance to confess his guilt. But he suddenly lied that he said he didnt go anywhere. A sudden lie is more serious than a detailed lie because it shows your usual habits. We are all Gheashi. Both the people who shouted for a sinner, Baraba to be released and Judas, who blamed Mary for pouring expensive enjoyment on Jesus, calculate their own interests. Its in us to pretend to be such a good person. Enthusiasm is bound to lead to falsehood. Lies to hide and lies to fill, and this lie can take away the mission in one moment.
Third, I must admit that my suffering is weaker than my sin.
God did not tell Elisha of the suffering of the Sunem woman, but this time Ghehashi told her as if she was at the scene. It is a blessing that there is one person who cannot deceive the great general Naaman too easily. At a time when idolatry was prevalent in Israel, the application for salvation was so important that I only think about receiving anything that is blinded by greed. Only you know your greed like this. Elisa blamed Ghehashi, 'Why is this the time to receive silver, clothes, anything?' And in the end, the scolding and nurturing of him led to Gods punishments. Blinded by greed, he forgot his mission and tried to fill his stomach with lies, and he got a leprosy, and he received a scary punishment that continued forever to his descendants. Gods best setting to realize that he was a sinner who deserved to die forever was leprosy. Rather than not being caught and punished forever in hell, it is an incomparable great benefit to finally enter heaven and receive an eternal award after being caught and repented for life. Everyone, the various hardships that come upon us are not curses that have come because they are unlucky. Gods permission for any form of hardship has the purpose and will of salvation. Hardship is the gift of the Lord Its a blessing. It is the best blessing in the land to make a confession that my suffering is weaker than my sin.
Today, Ill talk about my sisters missionary. Last week, my sister missionary was called by the heaven and held a farewell service to heaven on Friday. My sister had no choice but to be proud of her good academic background, but she spent 26 years doing missionary work in the slums, repenting for her entire life on the life of marriage, divorce, and remarriage. During the Philippines mission, the church was built by giving building materials when the U.S. troops withdrew because of the evangelism of women in the base village, and only this church did not collapse when a major earthquake occurred. My sister said she would bury her bones in the Philippines, but I had to bring her because she had dementia. Just as the biggest blessing for Gehashi was that leprosy came out like snow, my sister lived that life. Through my sisters divorce, Ive been crying out for a whole life to stop the divorce, and shes been preaching and 600 people received salvations a year. My family is proud, so I think I realize it desperately because of this leprosy and eventually live the life of my mission. I hope that the members of the church who do not have children will also believe that the church will become the family of the Holy Spirit and will greet you. Thank you for your kind words and visits.
If you dont want to be blamed for 'whats the time for this?' you must discern between a binding oath and a coveted oath, and dont lie carefully or habitually. I must admit that my suffering is weaker than my sin. Remembering Elishas sadness and knowing that this is not the time to receive it, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you can abandon Mammon and meet the God of the Prisoner and swear to God like Elisha.
