Triple beat

Numbers 30:1~16

Hello, Im Pastor Jang, Chung-man who serves Sejong Jungmun Church, in Sejong city. I dont know how much Im grateful, happy, and honored to stand in such a historic place that has achieved unprecedented revival in Korean church today. During my 19 years of ministry, I did my best with passion, and I felt lost twice. The first was to risk my life to serve in the Ministry of Youth, and many youths left the church when they joined the college or after having a job. I learned that kids who have faiths with their parents rather stay at church, therefore I offered integrated worship to all generations. Since worship is not about education, but about way of life, we have separate training sessions for faith after one worship. The second was facing the reality of Korean church, and I was agonizing over doing the practices of Korean traditions that were not even written on the Bible. At that time, I heard about Wooridle church where members were well meditating and trained with daily QT and active sharing at Mokjang community. I contacted to Wooridle and asked to observe in the Mokjang. While I was attending it, I received great grace that members listened and confessed their sins even if a couple fought on the ranch. Then, when I heard that Pastors seminar was held, I had joined and received THINK parenting. Now Im leading the QT ministry in my church. In Sejong City, there are many new people who have moved in due to their jobs. I decided that I would like my church to be the shelter for those who newly moved into Sejong city and to embraces their pain and difficulties, and it has been five years since I ministered. Of course, there are conflicts and hardships. There is a long way to go, but I am happy to embrace one lost soul.

The Numbers we are meditating on is Bemid Bar in Hebrew, which means in the wilderness. Numbers is a book that records how God prepares and operates the wilderness and how to live after the wilderness. By the way, Chapter thirty of Numbers, which is to be meditated today, is an order. The reason why womens vow stories suddenly come out in it, where population coefficients are key, is that spiritual recovery begins at home. There are conditions that must be met in order to achieve it: those who make it, those who receive it, and those who allow the pledges. At that time, those who make vows are very vulnerable, and todays text says that the consent of the head of the household must be obtained in order for the vows that those weak people made with God to be fulfilled. The confessor, the God who receives the vows, and the key to connecting the two are given to the head of the household. This is because it is Gods big plan to build a family through husbands. A woman who makes a vow, God who receives it, and the head of the household who is the key to them, when the triple beat is right, the vows come true. We have to restore the relationship between the balance of three elements. Lets talk more about the triple beat today.

First, the head of the household should be responsible for the family.

I was born into a Christian family with a parental belief, majored in theology and studied abroad, and have been working in ministry for 19 years. Im a self-centered person with a Christian full option. Under no circumstances did he commit any official sin, but the iron plate on his face got thicker as he worked hard on his life of faith. However, I fought every week to remove the steel plate from my thick face after finishing my neck. My life was all about a swearing for God, and there were no such promising words to protect my family God had entrusted me to. Growing up with a father, a serious workaholic, I was determined to be not like my dad when I grow up! So, I helped with family work and sometimes traveled with my children and talked well. But I was a family workaholic. I ran for my success and satisfaction, and I put all my attention and vows only to God, regardless of taking care of my family. One day, I was having dinner with my wife, and she said, 'Please listen to my story!' and I asked back, 'Are you listening now?' and she threw the plate and broke it. I should have thought, How frustrated was she to throw a plate! but I thought, This woman is not normal! In fact, my wife studied for a long time and worked as a dentist in the United States before getting married to me, but in less than a year, my mother collapsed due to a cerebral hemorrhage and came back to Korea right away. For the next 11 years, my wife was a mother of three and held a role as a wife of church pastor. However, I was indifferent to the familys vows and wishes to do Gods work, ignoring the sacrifice and dedication of my wife. The head of the family should be the one who is in charge of the family and helps family members protect to keep words. the head of the family must embrace the heart of God. It is not a false passion that misunderstands God, but when the three beats of swearing are right, it will be restored through the family.

Second, the family should be obedient to the head of the family.

The Bible tells family members should obey to the fathers. No matter how big and crucial the will and vows I made with God are, if the head of the family is invalid, it is invalid. As the saying goes, 'Wives, obey your husband as the Lord does' (Ep. 5:22) says, God, the head of the family, the order of these three beats begins with the wifes obedience to her husband. Wives should obey like the Lord because they are husbands, not husbands like the Lord. This is Gods way of establishing a broken family order. If wives obey their husbands, they dont know when, but the day when the vows are made will surely come. I also believe that when husbands are respected at home, the image will flow out.

God called me as a spiritual leader to establish and restore my family. I bless you in the name of the Lord to be a saint who discovers each mission God has given to the family and fulfills a vow for your family.
