[The army surrounding me]
2 King 6:24~31
Although we have received the grace of dont be afraid and open your eyes through the words of 2 King, the situation still surrounded by various crises approaches step by step. However, as Apostle Paul confessed, I believe that we have the freedom to not be wrapped up even if we are overcome in all directions. This freedom is possible only when we physically look at the army surrounding me and discover the real army surrounding my soul. Jesus came to this land to discover this. Today, I will think about what the real army surrounding me is.
First, its the bragging and unfairness of 'How dare is he?'
Last week, the king of Israel, Jehoram gave a difficult obedience to the Aram armys return to his home country, and as a result, he said, 'The Aram army has never come back into Israel again.' Thus, King Aram gave him the kind of grace that he applied as he had said, and in just one verse of todays text, the king of Aram, Ben-Hadat mobilized all his forces and launched a general attack, surrounding Samaria. As such, man is not an object of faith. Jehoram, who has no spiritual power, mistook what he had won with the help of the prophet for his ability to overcome. God surrounded Samaria. When Samaria was surrounded and supplies were completely cut off, and there was nothing to eat, Jehoram must have been trembling with pride and injustice, saying, 'How can you repay my kindness with an enemy when I have obeyed his word and saved your life?' You must face this, knowing that this pride and injustice is a large and high army that surrounds our souls.
Second, it is the avoidance of responsibility and distrust of 'with what?'
A woman shouts earnestly at King Jehoram, who was on the ramparts, 'Help me, my lord king,' and asks for salvation in a situation that is about to die. But the king says, 'What can I do to help you when the Lord does not help you?' This is an abandonment of duty and an evasion of responsibility as a king. At first glance, it seems humble to admit his incompetence, but God wont help and the responsibility lies with him. The woman goes on to accuse us of a fraudulent incident in which we only accepted my child and did not give up his child when we decided to give it to each other and eat it. In fact, this is Gods punishment for Israel, which is idolizing beyond God. The disaster brought by the Aram army is not a coincidence, but a punishment that God has said for the distrust of Israel represented by Jehoram, and no one is exception to this punishment. I eat my children boiled because I cannot abandon myself and am unconsciously convinced that my thoughts are right. We have to go through hardships surrounding people like the military, situations, and incidents, and see the real enemy surrounding my soul, the evasions of responsibility and the sins of disbelief. You must confess the truth of salvation that the sins of evading responsibility and disbelief are much greater and stronger than the suffering under siege.
Third, anger and hate, 'I wont let it go!'
Jehoram, who heard the womans words, tore his clothes and were shown underwear made of thick linen. Ripping clothes and putting on a cloth are all acts of repentance. On the other hand, Jehorams act of tearing clothes is to show off, feel unfair, avoid responsibility, and say, 'Elisa is the one to kill' with disbelief, hate, and anger. One characteristic of a person who repented is that he does not show anger. Jehoram is so angry with Elisa because when the Aram army walked into my feet, he did not let him do what he wanted. This anger and hatred are the army of sins that are more serious than the Aram army that surrounds me right now. They worship and show repentance in cloth, but the money is so good that the war continues. If the evil person thrives in front of me, he must face a state of his faith at that time, but he cannot repent because he only remembers what he gave. I believe that when we obey the words, they will give us real freedom that is not surrounded by it, no matter how much we are surrounded, when we realize this anger and hate in me, and repent. The Lord came to this land in a humble manner to give us this victory and freedom. I bless all of us who realize the army surrounding me and repent and enjoy true victory, freedom, and joy.
Community confession is a testimony to the youths wedding. The grooms parents divorced in elementary school after frequently arguing over distrustful marriage, and in the absence of his mother, he filled his longing for people with recognition. He went to study in England under an impossible situation, and now he is about to leave the country as he has received a full scholarship for his doctoral degree. The groom attended a wedding officiated by the pastor in 2015 and joined the community, and at this wedding, he prayed for the grace to be heard and confessed that he would pray for a salvation feast. The bride was very guilty of the incident that one day when she was very sick, her sister ran out to buy her medicine and had a car accident and went into Gods arms first. However, while blocking her younger brother who was in conflict with her mother, she almost lost her sight because the retina in one eye was torn by the fist he swung. And when she couldnt even see the book properly with her invisible eyes, she felt difficulty walking properly and gave up everything, she came to our church. However, I was greatly comforted by the fact that I waited for one person who had no strength to get up from the day I came, and I began to repent that I wanted to become a pure and good child that I could not do with my own guilt. And I met a brother who valued the confession and started dating and got married after sharing my wounded eyes and family history that I had only wanted to hide all my life on the ranch. Yesterday, these young men all confessed to their parents, 'Thank you for making me believe in Jesus!' while weeping at the wedding. And my parents said they were so grateful for the pastor who preaches the gospel for one soul.
The army that surrounds me is the pride of 'How dare is he?' and so unfair that it is the avoidance of responsibility and distrust of 'With what?' and the anger and hatred of 'I will not let you go.' Christmas is the day when the young Lord Jesus sent us so that we could face the army that surrounds me. There is only one week left in 2023, and I pray in the name of the Lord that you face our hearts like all the surrounding armies.
