Praying in a Lonely Place (in English)

I want to set aside my computer long enough to go outside
and smell the cold winter breeze and see how blue the sky can be.
I want to take a walk along the Han River and make paper boats float
all the way down to where I can hear the river-fish swim.
I want to sit with three kids on a park bench holding all hands with laughs and giggles
and talk how about sitting around Jesus on a mountain in the sunny afternoon.
I want to sing with a quiet voice, quiet breathing, and the loud heart
singing a hymn in the Christmas morning.
I want to cry lying down with my eyes closed; while doing that, I do sometimes
fall asleep dreaming of someone who’s wiping my teary eyes.
I want to look out the window and watch the birds to land on branches of the oak tree
though this morning I see no bird but the wind blow shaking the naked branches.
I sit up. I brew fresh coffee. I start reading a verse.
And I hear His voice, praying in a lonely place.
“And in the early morning, while it was still dark, He arose and went out and departed
to a lonely place, and was praying there. (Mark 1:35)”
